## Summary

Thomas Coy, 66, was sentenced to 40 years in prison after pleading guilty to killing Jasmine Taylor, a 23-year-old Amazon delivery driver, in Lawrence County, Missouri. The case involved a road-rage confrontation in which Coy shot Taylor, then removed her from her van and left her in a roadside ditch.

The shooting happened on 5 February 2025 as Taylor delivered packages near Highway 97. Court documents say Coy admitted using a pellet rifle and taking Taylor from the vehicle; she was taken to hospital with a bullet lodged in her head and later died. At sentencing on 2 November, the judge showed Coy video of Taylor’s final moments, according to her sister, who said the family would now begin grieving.
