## Key points

- The Liberty may consider Stephanie White if Indiana parts ways with her.
- White led the Fever to a 52-36 record over two seasons.
- New York needs a coach who can maximise its star players.

## Summary

The Liberty could pursue Indiana Fever head coach Stephanie White if the Fever’s incoming leadership decides to replace her. New York is seeking its third coach in three years, and White’s WNBA experience and winning record could help the team return to championship contention.

White has coached in the WNBA for 14 years, including seven as a head coach, and led the Fever to a 52-36 record over the past two seasons. Indiana averaged a league-record 96 points per game this year but was eliminated in the first round. The article argues that White could build around the Liberty’s stars, though her defensive approach and questions about her offensive creativity may shape how well she fits.
