## Key points

- The article identifies 287 groups in France’s protest network.
- It reports 649 planned Acte II actions.
- Further demonstrations are being planned into November.

## Summary

The article reports that roughly 50 groups identifying as Antifa are among a wider French protest network of 287 organisations preparing demonstrations this weekend. It says the groups are planning actions in Orléans against Marine Le Pen’s National Rally and nationwide protests called Acte II, and describes the mobilisation as organised and coordinated.

The article says 649 Acte II actions had been planned by early Friday, including at train stations, ports, oil depots and a refinery. It identifies unions and groups focused on the left, migration, the environment and other causes in the network, while noting that only 27 of the listed organisations are student or youth groups. It also reports plans for further actions on 31 October, 5 November and 20 November; claims about the groups’ aims and expected disorder are attributed to the article and organisers.
