## Key points

- Japanese musician Gackt posted Instagram content cosplaying as Genesis Rhapsodos, a character he voices in Final Fantasy 7 spin-offs, sparking fan speculation about FF7 Revelation news
- Fans reference precedent: Gackt posted about studio recording sessions shortly before the Crisis Core remake announcement, though such posts don't always signal upcoming reveals

## Summary

Fans of Final Fantasy 7 Revelation are interpreting recent social media activity from musician Gackt as a potential tease for upcoming announcements related to the JRPG. Gackt posted an Instagram image of himself dressed as Genesis Rhapsodos, the character he provides voice work for in spin-off titles Crisis Core and Dirge of Cerberus, with music from Dirge of Cerberus playing in the background.

Whilst Gackt frequently shares content about Final Fantasy 7 and the Genesis character on social media, fans point to a historical pattern: days before the Crisis Core remake was officially announced, Gackt had posted about returning to a recording studio after a lengthy absence. However, the speculative nature of such social media posts means they don't always precede concrete announcements, leaving the community's excitement tempered with uncertainty about whether this represents a genuine hint at future news.
