Final Filmed QUEEN Live Performance To Be Screened At London’s Roundhouse Ahead Of Its Release In Cinemas And IMAX

A live screening event of Queen's final filmed concert, "Queen Budapest", will take place at London's Roundhouse on 3 October, ahead of the film's wider cinema and IMAX release. Organised by Playback Live with Sony Music Vision, the two performances will present the newly restored concert on a giant LED screen with synchronised lighting and surround sound, designed to recreate the atmosphere of a live gig, alongside band memorabilia, photo opportunities and merchandise.

The concert was filmed on 27 July 1986 at Budapest's Népstadion during Queen's "Magic Tour", making them the first Western rock band to perform behind the Iron Curtain, with 80,000 tickets sold out and an estimated 45,000 more listening outside. It marks the band's final filmed live performance, coming just weeks before their last-ever show at Knebworth Park and Freddie Mercury's death shortly after. The film has been restored in 4K from original 35mm footage by Sir Peter Jackson's Park Road Post Production, with remixed audio, and will release worldwide in cinemas and IMAX from 7 October via Trafalgar Releasing, followed by a multi-format soundtrack release on 30 October through Legacy Recordings.
