Filming has begun in Los Angeles on "Bulldogs", a cold case crime thriller from writer-director Cole Mueller, with actor Josh Henderson leading the cast and taking on an executive producer role. Deadline has released first-look images from the production, which pairs Henderson with co-star and fellow executive producer Sade Katarina under her Effloresce Entertainment banner. The project marks a notable moment for Henderson, best known for playing John Ross Ewing III in TNT's "Dallas" revival, as he moves into a more prominent producing capacity.

In the film, Henderson plays a talented LASD detective who permits his filmmaker ex-wife, played by Katarina, to document the reopening of a notorious cold case; as the real-time investigation unfolds, hidden secrets emerge and the documentary itself becomes entangled in a mystery where no perspective can be fully trusted. They are joined by Damon Dayoub ("Stitchers") and Crispian Belfrage ("Obi-Wan Kenobi"). Mueller, making his third feature after directing and writing the crime series "Limited Edition", said the aim was to blend narrative filmmaking with a documentary style so the camera becomes "part of the mystery itself" rather than a passive observer.
