The platform addresses distinct market segments through tiered offerings: open-source models for independent developers and video game studios, and enterprise APIs for companies providing AI avatars, voice agents, and customer automation services. Fish Audio has faced scrutiny over unauthorized voice uploads to its platform, prompting the introduction of an automated consent verification and takedown system that can remove flagged voices within three minutes. Industry participants have called for broader standards including verified ownership registries, transparent licensing arrangements, and revenue-sharing mechanisms that compensate creators when their voices are commercially utilised.
