- Their mother faces four child neglect charges.

## Summary

A 50-year-old Florida mother was arrested after deputies say she left her four children at home without overnight adult supervision while travelling to Las Vegas for work. The case came to light when one child called 911 after a dumbbell struck her 9-year-old brother, prompting a response from authorities.

The children, aged 9, 11, 12 and 14, were found alone at their Kissimmee home on 21 October; the injured boy was treated and discharged from hospital. Miller told deputies she had arranged for a babysitter to help in the mornings and check on the children after school, but the sitter did not stay overnight. The children’s father took them in, and Miller was arrested when she returned on 23 October on four counts of child neglect without great bodily harm.
