Reagan Cox, a 30-year-old Florida woman arrested in late June on charges of resisting an officer without violence, has reached a plea deal following several months in custody. During her arrest, cocaine allegedly fell from her body during processing, leading to additional charges of introducing contraband into a jail and obstruction. The resolution concludes a lengthy detention period that attracted media attention due to the unusual circumstances of the case.

Cox appeared in court and pleaded guilty to introducing contraband into a jail and obstruction, whilst prosecutors dropped a drug possession charge. She was sentenced to 18 months' probation, a fine of approximately $700, and 70 days in jail—time which she had already served during her custody. The original traffic stop was conducted after officers observed her failing to maintain a single lane of travel, with reported signs of impairment.
