Fontaines D.C. performed at the final-ever session held at BBC Radio 6 Music's Maida Vale Studios, using the occasion to debut their new song "Marianne" live for the first time. The performance is notable both for marking the end of an era for the historic studios and for previewing material from the Irish band's upcoming fifth album, adding anticipation ahead of its release.

The session, recorded on 31st July 2026, saw the band deliver a faithful rendition of "Marianne" alongside "Roy's Tune" from their 2019 debut album Dogrel and their recent single "It's Amazing to Be Young." Maida Vale Studios, which opened in 1934, has hosted legendary sessions from artists including The Beatles, David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana and PJ Harvey, many for John Peel's Radio 1 show.
