Foo Fighters Teaming Up With AC/DC for One Night Only in St. Louis
Dave Grohl and Foo Fighters will open for AC/DC in St Louis on 8 September at The Dome, after original support act The Pretty Reckless dropped out just weeks before the show. AC/DC turned to Foo Fighters to fill the slot, giving Grohl what he has called a full-circle moment, as AC/DC's raw live performances were a formative influence on him long before he found fame with Nirvana and Foo Fighters.
Grohl said watching AC/DC's 1980 concert film "Let There Be Rock" as a youngster left a lasting impression, describing the band's intensity as something that changed him forever, even though he had grown up on records by Kiss and the Beatles. Tickets for the show are being sold through Ticketmaster, with prices ranging from $51 to more than $560 depending on seating.
