## Key points

- Banbury United apologised over footage from an adult show at its clubhouse.
- The club said part of the performance crossed its standards.
- It is reviewing its event hire and conduct rules.

## Summary

Banbury United apologised after videos from an adults-only male revue at its clubhouse appeared to show dancers stripping and performing sexually suggestive acts among audience members. The club said part of the show went beyond what it considers acceptable at the venue, prompting it to review its booking and conduct rules.

The event took place on Saturday, 17 October, at The Spencer Clubhouse and was organised by an external promoter as part of the UK Pleasure Boys’ tour. Tickets cost £16.50, with VIP front-row seats at £27.50, for a show lasting two hours and 45 minutes. Local reactions were mixed: some attendees said the performance exceeded their expectations, while others argued that a ticketed 18+ strip show made its nature clear.
