## Summary

League Two Fleetwood knocked Premier League champions Arsenal out of the Carabao Cup, winning a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw. The result gives Fleetwood a place in the quarter-final draw and ends Arsenal’s hopes of a domestic treble.

Fleetwood had lost their previous two matches, against Cheltenham and Exeter, but took the lead in difficult, windy conditions. Viktor Gyökeres equalised for Arsenal, then 16-year-old Max Dowman was sent off for retaliation. Fleetwood scored all five penalties, with Conor Haughey converting the decisive kick; Arsenal missed one.
