Former New York Knicks forward Charles Oakley has lawsuit against Madison Square Garden dismissed
A court has dismissed former New York Knicks forward Charles Oakley’s lawsuit against Madison Square Garden and its owner, James Dolan, for a third time. The case stems from Oakley’s removal from the arena after an altercation with security staff in 2017, extending a long-running dispute between the ex-player and the organisation.
The lawsuit was first dismissed in early 2020 and was dismissed again subsequently before Friday’s ruling. Oakley’s ejection from Madison Square Garden occurred during a Knicks game in February 2017, when he was escorted out following the confrontation with arena security guards.
