Former Angleton High School teacher Holly Adams has been arrested in Texas following an investigation into allegations of inappropriate relationships with students. The case highlights concerns about safeguarding and abuse of trust in school settings, although the reported charges concern evidence tampering and providing alcohol to minors rather than a sexual offence.

The Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office said Adams faces one count of tampering with evidence and two counts of purchasing or furnishing alcohol to a minor. Investigators began their inquiry nearly a year earlier after a student reported that Adams had an inappropriate relationship with a former student; she was released the day of her arrest on a $26,000 bond and no longer works for Angleton Independent School District.
