## Key points

- Rare tokens offer up to 28 days of free shop cosmetics.
- Players are mapping routes to open more chests.
- Epic has not revealed the tokens’ drop rate.

## Summary

Fortnite players are racing to find rare Pirate Shop Access tokens, which can unlock two weeks of free cosmetics from the item shop. Players have begun mapping chest routes to improve their odds, making the prize a major incentive to keep playing during the short Treasure Hunters season.

Each token grants 14 days of access to shop cosmetics, with one usable this year and the other in 2027. Suggested routes include areas with up to 30 chests, while squads can split up to search several locations at once; the Plundarrgh Sprite can also speed up digging buried chests. Epic has not disclosed the drop rate, and the article reports no confirmed success from these methods.
