## Summary

Four pledges of Texas State University’s Phi Delta Theta fraternity were arrested on misdemeanor hazing allegations after an 18-year-old member was reportedly forced into a pickup truck in San Marcos. Police said witnesses heard him screaming for help, and officers later found the vehicle and identified the incident as part of a fraternity initiation tradition.

The student’s mouth was reportedly taped shut, but he was not injured. The four arrested were William Oldner, 19, Noah Lara, 20, Tyler Fogg, 18, and Wyatt Carr, 18. Phi Delta Theta said it was gathering information, cooperating with the university and police, and did not condone conduct that jeopardised safety.
