Four Seasons Launches Refresh of Hotel Danieli

The Hollywood Reporter · 2 hours ago

The Danieli, Venice, a Four Seasons Hotel has reopened following a restoration timed to coincide with the Venice Film Festival, with further work continuing on adjacent palazzos and a new spa. The relaunch marks a significant refresh of one of Venice's most storied hotels, a gothic landmark on the Riva degli Schiavoni overlooking the lagoon, blending historic character with modern upgrades as part of Four Seasons' growing Italian portfolio.

French designer Pierre-Yves Rochon led the renovation, drawing on Venice's lagoon and marble facades for a palette of celadon greens, soft blues, terracotta and powder pink, while artisans restored gilding, stonework and staircases in the Palazzo Dandolo lobby. The hotel has reopened with 120 rooms and suites, a figure set to rise to 168 by 2027 once the Palazzo Danieli Excelsior restoration is complete, with rooms gaining tech features such as automated curtains and climate control. The rooftop restaurant Terrazza Danieli has also been refreshed under chef Adriano Rausa, and the new spa, with three treatment rooms, a sauna and bathhouse, is due to open later this year.

  • Rooms to expand from 120 to 168 by 2027.
