## Summary

Picturehouse will release Ari Gold’s one-shot musical *Brother Verses Brother* for awards consideration this season, with special screenings and performances planned before a theatrical opening early next year. Executive produced by Francis Ford Coppola, the film uses his idea of “live cinema” to tell a family story about love, separation and a father nearing the end of his life.

The film follows twin musicians Ari and Ethan Gold through San Francisco as they seek a gig and try to finish a song for their father. It was improvised by Ari Gold’s family and friends, with Ethan’s songs performed live on camera; “Brothers Keep Goin’ Anyway” has been submitted for Oscar consideration for Best Original Song. Their father, poet Herbert Gold, acted at 99 and died eight weeks after filming.
