- Ferrer aimed to blend Adler’s looseness with Sorum’s steadiness.
- He says “You Could Be Mine” best captures that balance.
- He describes his 2025 exit as amicable and praised Isaac Carpenter.

## Summary

Frank Ferrer says he tried to balance the contrasting drumming styles of former Guns N’ Roses drummers Steven Adler and Matt Sorum during his 19 years with the band. He describes Adler’s playing as loose and punk-influenced, while Sorum brought a steady foundation, and says combining those qualities shaped his approach.

Ferrer cites “You Could Be Mine” as a song where he felt that balance worked particularly well. He also said his departure in March 2025 was not caused by a dispute, praised his replacement Isaac Carpenter, and said there was no animosity between him and Axl Rose. Ferrer joined the band in 2006 and was its longest-serving drummer.
