French hurdler Cyrena Samba-Mayela has been temporarily suspended for failing to disclose her whereabouts to anti-doping officials. The 25-year-old, who won Olympic silver in the 100m hurdles at Paris 2024, could face a two-year ban if the case leads to a formal sanction.

The Athletics Integrity Unit imposed the suspension on 18 September, although the breach does not involve a positive drug test. Her representative said the investigation concerns only administrative whereabouts requirements and that Samba-Mayela is co-operating; athletes can be punished after three whereabouts failures within 12 months.
