Vietnamese reality show Tinh Hà Say Hi, the successor to Anh Trai Say Hi, has moved beyond bringing in international stars for one-off finale cameos and is now embedding five foreign hitmakers directly into its songwriting process. Whereas Alan Walker's brief guest appearance in December 2024 was treated as a national event but remained a fleeting spectacle, the new show's fourth live stage sees producers co-writing and building original tracks with the 24-strong Vietnamese cast, a shift its makers hope will carry Vietnamese music to international audiences more durably than a single viral moment.

The five producers brought in include Danny Chung, a K-pop lyricist linked to the Billboard 200-topping KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack; Grammy-nominated Vietnamese-Canadian producer FrancisGotHeat, who has worked with Drake and Big Sean; Dylan Matthew, co-creator of double-platinum SLANDER material; Vietnamese-American DJ Softest Hard; and multi-platinum, Berklee-trained producer SOFTSERVEBOY. Two of the five are of Vietnamese descent, adding a personal dimension for diaspora audiences, and the show's producers see the credited collaborations as a sturdier route to global visibility, letting international listeners discover Vietnamese pop through producers they already follow rather than through publicity alone.
