Fugitive wife Karen Solomon who fled home after cop husband was murdered is found DEAD behind rehab clinic

Daily Mail · 4 hours ago

Karen Solomon, 58, the wife of murdered Worcester police officer Kurt Solomon, has been found dead in a wooded area near a rehabilitation hospital in Massachusetts, in what police believe was a murder-suicide. She had been the subject of a manhunt after a warrant was issued for her arrest over the death of her husband, a 31-year police veteran, whose body was discovered at their home earlier in the month.

Worcester Police Chief Paul Saucier confirmed that medical staff at Fairlawn Rehabilitation Hospital found what is believed to be Karen Solomon's body, along with a handgun that was not a service weapon, with preliminary evidence of a gunshot wound. The body was located 0.6 miles from Coes Pond, where she was last seen on video entering the water. Kurt Solomon, a father of two, was found dead inside the couple's Wildwood Avenue home, with the incident classified as domestic under Massachusetts law. Karen Solomon had co-founded First H.E.L.P, a mental health advocacy group for police officers, and the discovery came just a day before her husband's wake.
