The makers of Tetris have accused the White House of copyright infringement after it launched a Tetris-style browser game called "Build the Wall" as part of a new online arcade on its official website. The Tetris Company said it takes copyright infringement "very seriously", confirmed it had no involvement in creating the game, and said it is exploring legal action against the Trump administration, which has not publicly responded to the claims.

The White House unveiled the arcade on Thursday, featuring five games (with a sixth promised) that echo well-known titles such as Tetris, Flappy Bird and Snake while promoting administration policies, including border security, "Trump Accounts" and its health agenda. Tetris, created by Soviet software engineer Alexey Pajitnov in 1984, went on to sell over two million copies on Nintendo and 35 million on Game Boy, becoming one of the world's most popular video games.
