A feature film based on Action Man, the British version of G.I. Joe, is officially in development. The project reflects continued Hollywood interest in adapting toy brands for cinema following the commercial success of Barbie.

No director has been announced. Jeremy Latcham, a producer on several Marvel films and Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, will produce, while Simon Hatt and X-Men ’97 writer Anthony Sellitti are set to write the screenplay.
