Gal Gadot Officially Claims James Gunn Confirmed ‘Wonder Woman 3’

Collider · 1 hour ago

Gal Gadot has reiterated her claim that James Gunn and Peter Safran told her they intended to develop a third Wonder Woman film with her, pushing back against earlier reports that had cast doubt on her account. Speaking on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, the actress said she was never given a formal meeting to be told her time as Wonder Woman was over, unlike other DC stars, and instead was told the studio wanted to proceed with her on a third instalment. Her comments add clarity to the long-running confusion over the future of the DC Extended Universe character following DC Studios' change in leadership.

Gadot also criticised how the exits of Henry Cavill as Superman and Patty Jenkins as Wonder Woman director were handled, saying neither situation was managed "elegantly," though she said she understood Gunn and Safran were pursuing their own creative vision. DC Studios is developing a new Wonder Woman film, with Supergirl writer Ana Nogueira attached to the script, though no release date has been set. Gadot played Diana Prince across six films between 2016 and 2023, including Wonder Woman, Wonder Woman 1984 and Justice League.
