## Summary

Wicker, a fantasy romance starring Alexander Skarsgård and Olivia Colman, has become a box-office success, offering counter-programming for older women while other films target younger audiences and older men. Its strong second-weekend performance suggests word of mouth is helping it hold its audience.

The film earned $5.7 million in its opening weekend from fewer than 1,500 US cinemas, then fell 24% to $4.3 million in its second weekend, taking its total past $13 million. It has reportedly recouped its $10 million budget, and its release expanded to nearly 2,400 domestic locations. The cast also includes Peter Dinklage, Elizabeth Debicki and Richard E. Grant.
