Gary Oldman has said Apple TV’s Slow Horses intends to maintain its rapid, regular release schedule for as long as the series continues. He described the effort to avoid long gaps between seasons as difficult, but said it is an important part of the spy thriller’s success and helps viewers remain invested.

The programme premiered in 2022 and has released its seasons within four years despite becoming more ambitious. Season 6, featuring Oldman as MI5 outcast Jackson Lamb, is scheduled to premiere on 16 September after the Season 5 finale. Oldman praised the production team’s commitment to quick turnarounds, contrasting it with waits of up to two and a half years for other television series.
