- Filmmakers are seeking partners to complete post-production.

## Summary

Taiwanese influencer Fufu, known for dancing in high heels and discussing desire online, is the subject of “My Silly Flirty Boys”, a documentary filmed over nine years. As he approaches 40 and his channel prepares to close, the film explores the personal cost of fame, loneliness and the pressures faced by gay men who fall outside expectations of respectability.

Hong Kong filmmaker Frankie Sin began filming Fufu in 2017, around the period when Taiwan legalised same-sex marriage and queer entertainment grew into the mainstream. The documentary also follows Sin’s own anxieties about identity and belonging, set against a gay scene he says prized hyper-masculinity. The team is preparing a rough cut and seeking funding and international partners, with picture lock targeted for the third quarter of 2027.
