BBC Sport · 3 hours ago

Britain's Henry Patten and his Finnish partner Harri Heliovaara have reached the men's doubles final at Wimbledon 2026, their second final at the All England Club in three years. The world number one pair, who won the title in 2024, moved a step closer to reclaiming it by beating American Aleksandar Kovacevic and Australia's Thanasi Kokkinakis 7-6 (7-2) 7-6 (10-8), extending an impressive run of tie-break success this fortnight.

The pair, who only teamed up in 2024, have won six of their seven tie-breaks at this year's tournament, including 10-point match tie-breaks in each of their previous three rounds. In Saturday's final they will face El Salvador's Marcelo Arevalo and Croatia's Mate Pavic, who defeated them in the Queen's Club final last month and knocked out Britain's defending Wimbledon champions Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool. Victory would give Patten and Heliovaara a third Grand Slam title in as many years, following their 2025 Australian Open triumph.

  • Patten and Heliovaara reach the Wimbledon men's doubles final.
  • They beat Kovacevic and Kokkinakis in two tie-breaks.
  • They face Arevalo and Pavic, who beat them at Queen's.
