Nancy Jones, widow of country music legend George Jones, hosted a star-studded concert at Nashville's famed Nashville Palace on Sunday night to mark what would have been his 95th birthday. The event, part of her ongoing effort to preserve his musical legacy, drew hundreds of attendees and a lineup of prominent country artists who performed his songs and paid tribute to his influence on the genre.

Performers included Jamey Johnson, Lorrie Morgan, Randy Travis's widow Mary Travis, Lisa Matassa, John PayCheck, Billy Yates, Uncle Kracker, Jake Worthington and Ernest, who together delivered two hours of live music spanning Jones classics such as "Tennessee Whiskey," "He Stopped Loving Her Today," "Good Year for the Roses" and "Yesterday's Wine." Nancy Jones, who was married to Jones for 32 years, said he would have been astonished by the turnout given his shy nature, while several performers reflected on his lasting impact as, in songwriter Billy Yates's words, "probably the best country singer of all time."
