- The discovery could change how she understands love and her past.

## Summary

The two-part Halloween special of *Ghosts* introduces Hetty Woodstone’s estranged sister Margaret, whose ghost has been trapped inside a mirror since her death. Their reunion forces Hetty to confront a painful family history and question a story about lost love that she has believed for years.

Margaret blames Hetty for her fate, while Hetty has long blamed Margaret for preventing her from marrying the painter Julian. The sisters discover that Margaret was interested in Julian first, and Hetty had failed to listen. Actor Rebecca Wisocky says this challenges Hetty’s view of her past and could open the way for personal growth; the story also reflects how women of the period were pushed into competing for security through marriage.
