## Key points

- Skattebo was penalised for lowering his helmet into a Texans defender.
- The Giants and Texans were tied 14-14 at half-time.
- Skattebo had no carries in the previous week’s game.

## Summary

Giants running back Cam Skattebo was penalised for unnecessary roughness after lowering his helmet and colliding with Texans safety M.J. Stewart on a first-quarter run. The call drew confusion in the article, which says it was unclear what Skattebo could have done differently during the play.

The incident came during a close Week 7 game, with the teams level at 14-14 at half-time. Skattebo had no carries in the Giants’ previous game against the Saints, though coach John Harbaugh said that was not planned; the article also notes that Skattebo’s fumbles had been a concern.
