The Salt Path, starring Gillian Anderson and Jason Isaacs, follows a married couple who lose their home and confront a terminal illness before walking 630 miles along the south-west coast of England. Based on Raynor and Moth Winn’s true story, the film centres on their attempt to find comfort, acceptance and resilience in nature and in each other, making it an intimate survival drama rather than a conventional road film.

Anderson plays Raynor Winn and Isaacs plays Moth in what is largely a two-person film directed by Marianne Elliott and written by Rebecca Lenkiewicz. Released in the UK in 2025, it reportedly received strong reviews and holds an 85% positive Rotten Tomatoes score; Rialto Distribution is due to release it in cinemas on 28 August 2026.
