## Summary

God of War: Laufey has been delayed from 16 February to 20 May 2027. Sony Santa Monica says the extra time will allow the team to add finishing touches and push the game towards its full potential.

The spinoff centres on Faye, Kratos’ wife and Atreus’ mother, and was announced at June’s State of Play after leaks had pointed to a new God of War game. Its story involves the “afterlife of the gods”, and Kratos is confirmed to appear; the studio thanked fans for their patience and said it would share more updates soon.
