## Summary

GOG will hold its first games showcase on 5 November, marking the digital storefront’s 18th anniversary. It is expected to announce games and new features, with a focus on preserving older titles and keeping them playable on modern hardware.

GOG’s catalogue is DRM-free, allowing users to play games offline without a launcher, and the company often restores older games that are hard to access legally. Its community’s most-requested title is *Black & White*, with 138,473 votes; other popular requests include the first two *Silent Hill* games, *Fable 2* and *The Simpsons: Hit & Run*. Licensing can prevent releases, as GOG has said it faces difficulties bringing back *Dune 2: Battle for Arrakis*.
