Team England's swimmers enjoyed a golden night on day two of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, claiming six medals in the pool including two gold, three silver and one bronze. Georgia Sheffield became England's first swimming gold medallist of the Games, winning the Women's S14 200m Freestyle, while Will Ellard followed minutes later with gold in the men's equivalent, both setting Commonwealth Games records in their events.

Sheffield clocked 2:06.07 to take gold, with teammate Poppy Maskill taking silver in the same race for an English one-two. Ellard won his title in 1:51.66. Further medals came from Ollie Morgan, who took silver in the Men's 50m Backstroke in 24.48, Adam Ramsay-Peaty, who added bronze in the Men's 100m Breaststroke (59.65) to bring his Commonwealth Games medal tally to eight, and the Mixed 4x100m Freestyle Relay team, who won silver in 3:23.91.
