Speaking to Fox News Digital, Sorenstam highlighted Clark's popularity and drawing power at pro-am events, describing her as "great for women's sports" — a notable endorsement of the basketball player's wider influence beyond her own sport.

Sorenstam, who won 72 LPGA Tour titles including 10 majors, noted that large crowds attend to follow Clark, seek her autograph and watch every shot when she plays in the ANNIKA Pro-Am. Clark cannot take part in the American Century Championship — the celebrity tournament Sorenstam is contesting on Friday as one of the favourites — because of the WNBA schedule, though Sorenstam believes the keen amateur golfer would perform well given her athleticism.
