## Key points

- *The Terminal List* is a darker military thriller than *Reacher*.
- Chris Pratt’s character investigates a conspiracy while facing a brain tumour.
- The series held Prime Video’s top spot for two weeks.

## Summary

Prime Video’s *The Terminal List*, a military thriller starring Chris Pratt, is presented as a darker alternative to *Reacher*. The comparison matters because both series follow military figures pursuing criminals or conspirators, but *The Terminal List* places greater emphasis on brutal action and the psychological toll of war.

The first season follows Navy SEAL James Reece as he investigates a conspiracy after his platoon and family are killed, while dealing with a brain tumour; reporter Katie Buranek pursues the same case. Its spin-off, *The Terminal List: Dark Wolf*, centres on fellow SEAL Ben Edwards and explores the effects of war. Despite poor reviews, the original series topped Prime Video’s Top 10 for two consecutive weeks, and its second season arrives after a four-year wait.
