## Summary

Wrexham AFC have appointed former English Football League chief Shaun Harvey as acting chief executive after Michael Williamson left abruptly. The change comes as the club seeks to build on its rapid rise to the Championship, where its current campaign has started unevenly.

Williamson joined in 2024 after senior roles at Inter Milan and Major League Soccer, and was named Football Industry Leader of the Year in 2025. Harvey, 56, has advised owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac since their 2021 takeover and became a club director in 2023. Wrexham won three successive promotions to reach the second tier in 2025, narrowly missed the play-offs last season and currently sit 16th in the Championship.
