Google is sending MrBeast into the wilderness, armed with AI
Google has struck a multi-year partnership with YouTuber MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson), who will feature the company's Gemini AI, Google Health and a new Fitbit device across upcoming videos. The tie-up begins with a video released on 5 September in which Donaldson and his crew attempt to survive extreme environments using Gemini for guidance, marking one of Google's highest-profile efforts to embed its AI products into mainstream creator content.
The debut video will follow teams racing to navigate the jungle, desert and Arctic, using Gemini to spot dangers and cope with harsh weather. Donaldson will also wear a Fitbit Air during a future challenge and appear in a separate Google Gemini advertising campaign. The deal follows Donaldson's channel becoming the first on YouTube to reach 500 million subscribers, and comes as YouTube reportedly offers top creators incentives to keep content exclusive amid growing competition from Netflix for creator deals.
