The exact grounds for the investigation have not been disclosed by the committee, but Gooden told Fox News Digital in a statement that he believed it related to financial matters, while denying any wrongdoing. The announcement was made public on a Monday afternoon, and no further details on the scope or timeline of the review have yet been released.
