Utah Republican Senator John Curtis has called for an investigation into Donald Trump Jr and Hunter Biden over their dealings with foreign nationals. His request follows revelations that Russian businessman Umar Kremlev, described as close to Vladimir Putin, funded parts of Trump Jr’s wedding celebrations in the Bahamas, prompting concerns about foreign influence and potential national security risks.

Kremlev reportedly spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on a private island and fireworks, while Trump Jr and Bettina Anderson described him as a friend who gave them a generous gift. Donald Trump said his son had repaid Kremlev, which a source later confirmed; Curtis wants both men to disclose their foreign associations to establish whether presidential family members received benefits or created expectations of favourable treatment.
