## Summary

Police bodycam footage shows the aftermath of Perez Hilton’s suicide attempt at his Miami home in August, with blood visible on the walls as first responders took him to hospital. The footage brings new attention to the seriousness of the incident and the impact on his family.

Hilton’s sister told a 911 dispatcher he was in distress, injured and covered in blood; she said he was awake in the bathroom and may have had a box cutter or knife. She and Hilton’s three children left the home before officers arrived. His family later said he had significant blood loss and injuries requiring surgery; after weeks in hospital, he entered a residential treatment programme and has had supervised visits with his children.
