## Key points

- Gotham has a chance to win three NWSL trophies in one year.
- No club has completed the treble since the Challenge Cup began.
- The play-off bid starts against Seattle on Sunday.

## Summary

Gotham FC could become the first National Women’s Soccer League club to win the Shield, Championship and Challenge Cup in one calendar year. The club has already secured its first Shield and begins its bid for a second consecutive Championship against Seattle Reign in the quarter-finals on Sunday.

Gotham set club records with 18 wins and 61 points, and has won two of the past three league Championships. The Orlando Pride last won both the Shield and Championship in 2024; North Carolina did so in 2018 and 2019. Since the Challenge Cup began in 2020, no team has won all three trophies in the same year. Gotham’s players say the Championship carries particular weight because it is the final trophy awarded in the play-offs.
