## Key points

- Play Asia relaunches reprinted physical PS4 games via "Physical Revival" campaign
- Response to Sony ending physical disc production from January 2028
- Titles like River City Girls, Romancing SaGa 2 cost around $40 each

## Summary

Import retailer Play Asia has launched a "Physical Revival" campaign, offering a curated selection of reprinted PS4 games back in stock for "collectors, fans, and anyone who believes great games belong on the shelf". The move comes as a direct response to Sony's decision to cease manufacturing physical PS4/PS5 discs from January 2028, positioning Play Asia as a way for consumers to support ongoing physical game ownership rather than relying solely on digital licences.

The lineup, which appears to consist of multi-language Asian copies likely sourced from Hong Kong, includes well-regarded titles such as River City Girls and Romancing SaGa 2. Each game costs around $40, with free shipping available on orders over $99. Play Asia has emphasised that physical copies, unlike digital purchases, do not come tied to licences, framing the campaign around genuine game ownership.
