Green Day have launched Green Day TV, a 24/7 YouTube stream offering round-the-clock content drawn from the band's 30-plus-year history, including previously unseen archival footage and live performances. The stream also features a new weekly variety show, Transmission Unknown, hosted by drummer Tré Cool, which will showcase emerging musical acts alongside comedy-and-music sketches. The launch precedes the release of the band's coming-of-age film NIMRODS.

The stream, which went live on Thursday, 6 August, includes music videos, studio and video-shoot footage, and behind-the-scenes tour content from Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool. It arrives ahead of NIMRODS, out in cinemas on 14 August and starring Mason Thames alongside Jenna Fischer and Fred Armisen, for which the band recently released a 30-track soundtrack featuring the new song "I'm Never Gonna R.I.P." — their first new music since 2024's Saviors. Armstrong is also set to tour with side project Pinhead Gunpowder from October.
