Green Day has unveiled 'I'm Never Gonna RIP,' a new song combining the band's punk-rock style with swing and soul influences. The track appears on a 31-song soundtrack for the film NIMRODS, which draws heavily from Green Day's catalogue alongside contributions from The Paradox, Ultra Q, Mckenna Grace, and the fictional band Analog Dogs.

The movie follows a young musician named Tommy who embarks on a cross-country journey from Kansas City to Los Angeles after a prank call suggests his band will open for Green Day on New Year's Eve. Featuring Green Day as both on-screen performers and producers, the film includes an ensemble cast and arrives in US theatres August 14, with advance screenings from August 11. Tickets go on sale July 14.
