## Key points

- Unofficial GTA 6 gameplay clips leaked before Netflix's 27 August reveal
- Footage showed basketball mini-game and a chaotic car-crash brawl
- Leak's authenticity and source, group "Cyberleek", remain unconfirmed

## Summary

An unofficial gameplay clip purporting to show Grand Theft Auto 6 circulated online in the run-up to an official extended reveal from Rockstar Games and Netflix, which took place on 27 August 2026. The minute-long footage, showing co-protagonist Jason relaxing at home and playing basketball, gave fans an early, unauthorised glimpse of the game's environmental detail and minor mechanics, though its authenticity and precise origin were never officially confirmed.

The clip, shared by a group calling itself Cyberleek, showed Jason dribbling and shooting hoops for an in-game "Focus" reward, while a basketball rolling into water demonstrated realistic physics, and the HUD revealed a stamina meter and two apparent money reserves. A second clip from the same source depicted more conventional GTA chaos, with Jason crashing a car into a delivery truck and beating the driver with a wrench, evoking comparisons to the major 2022 GTA 6 leak; Rockstar itself did not comment on the leaks, leaving the Netflix reveal as the only officially sanctioned look at the game.
