## Key points

- GTA 6 may need 210 GB on PS5.
- The reported size has not been confirmed.
- Pre-loading is due to begin a week before launch.

## Summary

New reporting says GTA 6’s PS5 install may require 210 GB, a figure that would make it a major storage commitment for players. The report is unconfirmed, but if accurate, it could also help explain why the game’s physical edition is reportedly planned as a download code rather than discs.

The figure comes from X account PlayStation Game Size, which tracks PS5 game installs. It would take about a third of the storage on a launch-model PS5, while GTA 5 requires at least 148.2 GB. GTA 6 is due on 19 November 2026, with pre-loading scheduled to open a week earlier.
